This potential drops to 0.6 V if another source with wavelength four times that of the first one and intensity half of the first one is used. Solution

The Einstein photoelectric equation gives the stopping potential . Intensity does not affect the stopping potential (only wavelength does).

First source: eV. Second source (wavelength ): eV.

Subtracting: eV, i.e. eV.

Solving for using J m C: m.

Work function: eV. With eV, eV.

Hence answer is m and eV: option (A).
