Q.

The number of 6 digit numbers that can be formed using the digits 0, 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9 which are divisible by 11 and no digit is repeated, is :

  1. A

    72

  2. B

    48

  3. C

    60

  4. D

    36

Solution

digit 0, 1, 2, 5, 7, 9

(a1 + a3 + a5) – (a2 + a4 + a6) = 11 K

so (1, 2, 9) (0, 5, 7)

Now number of ways to arranging them

= 3! × 3! + 3! × 2 × 2

= 6 × 6 + 6 × 4

= 6 × 10

= 60
