Solution

Thermal insulation means no heat exchange with the surroundings: $q = 0$ .

Stirring from outside does positive work on the system: $w > 0$ .

From the first law, $Δ U = q + w = 0 + w > 0$ .

$∴$ $Δ U > 0$ , $q = 0$ , $w > 0$ .
