Solution

At the threshold (zero kinetic energy of photoelectrons), $h ν = ϕ$ .

So $ν = \frac{ϕ}{h}$ and $ω = 2 π ν = \frac{2 π ϕ}{h}$ .

$ω = \frac{2 \times 3.14 \times 110 \times 1 0 ^{- 20}}{6.63 \times 1 0 ^{- 34}} = \frac{691 \times 1 0 ^{- 20}}{6.63 \times 1 0 ^{- 34}} \approx 1.04 \times 1 0^{16}$ rad/s.
