Solution

Allylic bromination by Br/hv proceeds through the most stable allylic radical. In 3-methylcyclohex-1-ene the allylic carbon adjacent to the methyl is a centre (more stable radical) than the methyl group itself ().
The major product is the ring-allylic bromide (3-bromo-3-methylcyclohex-1-ene) and not the methyl-substituted side-chain bromide shown in option (1). Option (1) is therefore the incorrect representation.
Options (2)-(4) depict standard Sandmeyer-type bromination, photolytic side-chain bromination of toluene, and Lewis-acid-catalysed ring bromination of toluene respectively — all correctly drawn.
