Solution
When released from rest, the ball begins at and accelerates downward.
Viscous drag grows with speed and eventually balances gravity (minus buoyancy), at which point the net force vanishes and the ball moves at constant terminal velocity.
So the speed starts at zero, rises with a decreasing slope, and asymptotically approaches a constant. The slope of the vs curve (acceleration) is largest initially and falls to zero.
