In the diagram, a strong bar magnet is moving towards solenoid-2 from solenoid-1. The direction of induced current in solenoid-1 and that in solenoid-2, respectively, are through the directions:

Solution
By Lenz's law, the induced current opposes the change in flux.
Solenoid-1 sees the magnet receding (flux decreasing), so it tries to attract the magnet back: the face nearer the magnet becomes a south pole, requiring current AB (as per the figure's loop sense).
Solenoid-2 sees the magnet approaching (flux increasing); it tries to repel: the face nearer the magnet becomes a north pole, requiring current DC.
Hence AB and DC.
