Solution

Apply Kirchhoff's laws. With 50 V across A–B, the top branch (1Ω + 2Ω = 3Ω) carries 50/3 A but the network is more involved due to the cross-link CD.

Solving with KCL/KVL: current in upper segment A→C = 18 A, C→B = 16 A, lower A→D = 6 A, D→B = 8 A. The difference at node C (or D) must flow through CD: A.
