Solution

Distance covered in the $n$ -th second by a body starting from rest with acceleration $a$ : $S_{n} = u + \frac{a}{2} (2 n - 1)$ .

With $u = 0$ : $S_{n} \propto (2 n - 1)$ .

For $n = 1, 2, 3, 4$ the ratio is $1 : 3 : 5 : 7$ .
