Solution

$X_{L} = 45 Ω$ , $X_{C} = 25 Ω$ , $R = 20 Ω$ .

$Z = R^{2} + (X_{L} - X_{C})^{2} = 2 0^{2} + 2 0^{2} = 202 Ω$ .

$I_{r m s} = \frac{V _{r m s}}{Z} = \frac{220}{20 2} = \frac{11}{2} \approx 7.8$ A.

$tan ϕ = \frac{X _{L} - X _{C}}{R} = \frac{20}{20} = 1$ , so $ϕ = 4 5^{\circ}$ .
