From the graph: amplitude $A = 1$ m and period $T = 8$ s, so $ω = \frac{2 π}{T} = \frac{π}{4}$ rad/s.

$x (t) = A sin (ω t) = sin (\frac{π}{4} t)$ . At $t = 2$ s, $x = sin (π /2) = 1$ .

For SHM, $a = - ω^{2} x = - (\frac{π}{4})^{2} \times 1 = - \frac{π ^{2}}{16}$ m s $^{- 2}$ .
