Solution

Apply Kirchhoff's voltage law walking from A to B with the given polarities:

$V_{A} - L \frac{d i}{d t} - 5 - i R = V_{B}$ .

$V_{A} - V_{B} = L \frac{d i}{d t} + 5 + i R = (1) (1) + 5 + (2) (2) = 1 + 5 + 4 = 10$ V.
